JFC an ambassador at COP26

Jones Food Company (JFC) is pleased to announce that our founder & CEO, James Lloyd-Jones has been selected as one of the 26 #OneStepGreener ambassadors; as one of the people going "above and beyond for the climate".
The #OneStepGreener ambassadors are selected to "symbolise the very best in UK Climate Leadership and will inspire the public to follow in their footsteps".
Attending COP26 is a great opportunity to showcase the work we have been doing as a company as we break ground on the world's largest vertical farm in Lydney, Gloucestershire, named; JFC2. The facility is set to open in summer 2022 with an annual growing capacity of over 500T.
James Lloyd-Jones, Founder & CEO
"I am honoured and delighted to be representing Jones Food Company and the UK's agtech sector at COP26 #OneStepGreener is a mantra we are truly behind with our farms pushing the boundaries in the next generation of British agriculture."
Continued statement from James Lloyd-Jones:
“(Jones Food Company) are going #OneStepGreener by pioneering vertical farms into the food supply chain that uses resources more efficiently and take away the carbon impact of modern agricultural practices. Vertical are good for the climate, for supply chain and our national food security".
“We can use land more efficiently per square meter because we can go higher and grow our crops more densely and growing indoors means we can grow all-year round, there are no seasons”.
